MP3 and Portable Video Player Picture Quality Shoot-Out

Part of my job requires me to know this stuff. But it's virtually impossible to memorize these specs and capabilities. Saves me time in checking this report. Saves you too.

In this three-part series, we'll examine and evaluate the image and video picture quality produced by MP3 and portable video players, high-end smart phones, and portable game consoles. The market for these devices is growing explosively. They are rapidly converging in functionality and performance, so we are going to compare them all to one another throughout the series. Part I includes five MP3 and Portable Video Players—the Apple iPod, Creative Zen Vision:M, Epson P-4000, Cowon A2, and Archos 604. Part II will examine four smart phones—the BlackBerry 8700, Motorola Q, Nokia N80, and Palm Treo 700p, and Part III will examine the Nintendo DS Lite and Sony PSP (PlayStation Portable).

Or just try using GMAIL's 1GB storage using this shell extension.

GMail Drive Shell Extension

This download allows us to use GMAIL as our virtual storage system.

GMail Drive creates a virtual filesystem on top of your Google Gmail account and enables you to save and retrieve files stored on your Gmail account directly from inside Windows Explorer. GMail Drive literally adds a new drive to your computer under the My Computer folder, where you can create new folders, copy and drag'n'drop files to.

Ever since Google started to offer users a Gmail e-mail account, which includes storage space of 2000 megabytes, you have had plenty of storage space but not a lot to fill it up with. With GMail Drive you can easily copy files to your Gmail account and retrieve them again.
When you create a new file using GMail Drive, it generates an e-mail and posts it to your account. The e-mail appears in your normal Inbox folder, and the file is attached as an e-mail attachment. GMail Drive periodically checks your mail account (using the Gmail search function) to see if new files have arrived and to rebuild the directory structures. But basically GMail Drive acts as any other hard-drive installed on your computer.
You can copy files to and from the GMail Drive folder simply by using drag'n'drop like you're used to with the normal Explorer folders.

Note that, any tweaks in Google's system may render the virtual storage virtually useless. You may need to check/bokmark the download page to check for upgrades once in a while.

Web 2.0 in Reversed: Web 0.2 Reserved.

This site is the complete opposite of Web 2.0. No fancy header with gradient, no bluish-shadowy logo and NO user generated content. It's like Yahoo! Anwers but in Martial Law.

At site says...

The only user contribution is your ignorance.

Ask me questions, I'll try to answer them.

I prefer tech questions, focused on Linux (server only, no desktop), Apache, MySQL, and PHP, but ask whatever you want. Limit 3 per user.

I'm now throwing away all retarded questions. I didn't realize how much traffic I would be getting.

Though he's a Linux / Apache / MySQL / PHP guy, try asking offbeat and see if the owner is on the mood.

Sample Q&A below:

Q: Why is PHP hard to integrate with Javascript?
A: Try using Smarty. http://smarty.php.net/
I've found it helps to separate content from logic.

Q: Why hasn't President Bush been impeached yet?
A:Our government is retarded.

Coincidence OR Conspiracy: World Trade Center Images On The $20 Bill

Doing some crazy folding to paper bills would really give you some crazy images. This is like back-masking a cassette tape. You'll get what you want to hear, you'll get what's on your mind. I bet my betlog, I can produce a certain Philippine monument out of these paper bills. I didn't study Trigonometry and SOHCAHTOA for nothing.

This stuff is not new to us all. We did this stuff long ago. Even Dr. Jose Rizal was tagged as a Yo-si boy evreytime we folded up the "REPUBLIKA NG PILIPINAS", to show these letters/words... BLIKA NG PILIP. Funny then. Now, kids have more things to do than folding up bills. They'd rather spend em.

Heck, even the great Emilio Aguinaldo was a victim of this craze. Remember how he became Randy Santiago with simple photo-editing ia trusted Pilot ballpen.

Check out the $20 Bill hype here.

Programmer Meet Designer

I have found "Programmer Meet Designer" — PMD for short.

This site was created to unite programmers and designers because rarely is a person good at both programming and designing. PMD helps programmers and designers partner up to make websites and web applications that look and work great. It also lets entrepreneurs and writers find people to work with.

This web site make sense because "rarely is a person good at both programming and designing". I can attest to that.

I just wonder if the projects being posted do make sense. 'Coz a lot of projects are being thrown out there. Carefully check users and offers before partnering.

Google Creates Trend Hunting Search Engine

site marking...

Google Creates Trend Hunting Search Engine by Terri Wells, 2006-08-28 -- I love hearing about new products from Google Labs, because you never know what’s going to come out of there next. The one I’ll be taking a look at in this article is called Google Trends. From what I’ve seen, it has real potential as a tool for SEO.
